Flowering Plants To Brighten Your Desert Landscaping

It can be difficult to choose landscaping in desert regions of southwestern states such as Arizona, Nevada, and California. It may be tempting to landscape exclusively with cacti, but every once in a while, it is nice to have some flowering plants included in your desert garden. There are several types of beautiful flowering plants that can be included in your home’s landscaping, even in the warmest of climates. Let’s look at just a few of our beautiful desert flowers:

These beautiful ground cover flowers can brighten up any yard’s landscaping. These fragrant flowers are well suited to desert climates and bloom April through September.

These beautiful orange blossoms are sure to make you smile. This hardy plant is well adapted to drought regions and blooms February through November. It will look gorgeous in any home’s landscaping!

These beautiful yellow flowers are a fantastic plant for your desert garden. This plant is both beautiful and medicinal - this herb got its name from the fact that it used to be used as a treatment for snake bites.

These cheerful looking little flowers bloom March through November. This plant is a medicinal herb and was also considered a good luck charm by the Kiowa people.
