Do These Five Things When Buying Your First Home
When buying a house there is so much you have to keep track of. When buying your first home you want everything to go perfectly. For the best home buying experience possible, make sure you do these five things.
1: Write Down What You Want Before Talking to Your Agent
Know what you want and write it down. The square footage, number of bathrooms, bedrooms, etc. Your real estate agent will have a much easier time finding your new home with this information on hand.
2: Get Pre-Approved
Pre-approval will tell you what you can afford. Your agent will probably require you get pre-approved before they will show you a house. You will need to get pre-approved so you can put an offer in as soon as you find the house you want.
3: Get Home Inspection
Home inspections are essential. If you don't get your home inspected you may miss a lot of issues that could crop up later. Be safe, not sorry.
4: Get Things in Writing
Don't rely on verbal agreements. Words mean nothing unless you’ve got proof. Get everything in writing.
5: Let Your Agent Do The Talking
You shouldn’t communicate with the seller directly. All communication should be passed through your real estate agent. Pick an agent you can trust and you won’t go wrong.
