September Events In Lake Havasu

Check out the upcoming September Events in Lake Havasu!

Image title    Every year Lake Havasu has an abundance of events that are put on in the local area whether it be The Poker Run, Desert Storm, WORCS Off Road Racing, Boat Regattas or the many events and entertainment activities that are put on down on Main Street McCulloch.

If you are planning on heading down here to Lake Havasu this weekend September 25th-27th make sure not to miss the 2015 DCB boat regatta taking place in the Thompson Bay area. Boats by DCB (Dave's Custom Boats) known to easily reach speeds into the triple digits will be ripping up and down the Colorado. Be sure to check them out it's not something you want to miss!

Also taking place this Saturday the 26th is a 1000ft waterslide winding and sliding it's way down Main Street McCulloch. All proceeds earned goes toward the Norona Effect with 5% going to The LHC education dept.

The Norona Effect was started by three sisters in an effort to help families and their children have immediate access to medical facilities to treat several life-threatening diseases. Nicole Norona, Brooke Queen and Tracy Henry, the daughters of Ron and Roberta Clifford (local residents of Lake Havasu City since 1979) all feel very passionate about this movement.

All proceeds of this event will be utilized to help build a state-of-the-art Pediatric Ambulatory Infusion Center offering treatments such as chemotherapy, hydration, stem cell infusion, IVIG, blood transfusions and much more. Many families have a difficult time commuting 3-4 hours for these treatments and will benefit from having these services provided in-town. The Norona Effect will also donate 5% of all the revenue generated towards the educational department for Lake Havasu City children. Support a GREAT cause!

Don't have some toys here in Havasu? Just up here for the weekend? Keep it simple and pack light! The great thing about this gorgeous town is you don't need to spend money to have a good time. Nearly all if not most events are FREE or less than 15$. Come check out any spot along the banks of Thompson Bay! Pull up, back up, drop the tailgate, put some beach chairs in the water and float around as you watch the boats fly by and watch the jet skis rip their way around the buoy course training for The IJSBA World Finals which I'll be posting in my next blog for October so stay tuned for that!

As always Have fun! Be safe! And call me, Nick Lang with The Queen Team @ Keller Williams Realty for all your real estate needs whether it be a first home, investment, or thinking about selling!
